Leadership and Organizational Development program is designed for those individuals who already possess a master's degree and are interested in leadership roles within higher education, community and organizational development, or business. The program would be utilized by those candidates who desire to enter the NNU doctoral programs and have a desire to pursue coursework and a degree within leadership and organizational development.

NNU's Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership: Superintendent advances the academic preparation and teaching skills of experienced classroom teachers and instructional leaders. This online degree is designed for educational professionals who have a master's degree and building administrator certification who are seeking formal educational leadership roles such as superintendent, assistant superintendent and other school district central office roles.

NNU's MEd in Educational Leadership: Building Administrator program is designed for those seeking formal educational leadership roles such as building-level principals, assistant principals, or instructional team leaders. Students are presented with skills appropriate to goal setting and maximizing human potential, the unique aspects of an organizational structure, and the management tasks of an administrator. Completion of this program qualifies the graduate for recommendation to the State of Idaho for a Pre K-12 Principal endorsement on an Idaho Administrator Certificate.

The 16-month program includes 12 months of coursework and one semester of student teaching. Upon completion of the program, teacher candidates will be ready to step into an elementary school or middle school classroom of their own.

NNU's fully online Master of Divinity in Youth, Children & Family Ministry prepares you to embrace a vocational ministry role while also pursuing advanced training in the contexts of parachurch ministry, Christian schools or camp.

The MEd in Special Education program is designed for classroom teachers who hold elementary, secondary, or special education certification and wish to gain further expertise and/or become certified to teach children in these classrooms. The internship has two options: one option is for educators currently teaching in classrooms for Special Education; and one option is for others who are not currently teaching Special Education. It is a fully online program which includes a practicum experience in teaching children with special needs.

The NNU Counselor Education Dept. offers a Master of Science degree in Counseling with three possible majors: Clinical Mental Health Counseling; Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling; and School Counseling. Program graduates typically complete all requirements for licensure while enrolled in the program-including the national exam-and apply for licensure as a counselor after graduation. Upon graduation, students are prepared with the professional competencies necessary for entry-level counseling and therapeutic direct service delivery, as well as with a base to pursue doctoral-level study.

Our program is designed to prepare the baccalaureate registered nurse to assume the role of Advanced Practice Clinician in nursing. Upon completion of the program, you will have earned a graduate degree in nursing and be prepared for national licensure as an FNP. The MSN FNP program's goal is to provide optimal primary care to the communities the graduates serve. The program prepares advanced practice nurses who excel in clinical practice by providing patient and family-centered care in the context of Christ-like behavior in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation.

Our program prepares students for advanced social work practice in rural and small-town settings. Available at NNU's Nampa campus, at our distance learning location in Idaho Falls, as well as online, the program utilizes a cohort model that allows for an interactive learning environment and collegiality throughout the student's course work. Additionally, the MSW practicums give students professional experience and help them build relationships with local professionals. Concentrations available in Clinical Mental Health & Addictions and Integrated Clinical & Community Practice.

This program is designed to prepare the baccalaureate registered nurse for the role of a nurse leader and educator. Utilizing an online cohort model and supporting an interactive learning environment, the MSN program can be completed in two years by nurses with a baccalaureate degree. Full-time students take six to nine credit hours per semester, one course at a time. The online cohort is designed for the working professional; providing you with the flexibility to work and go to school full-time. You'll learn from caring faculty with over 160 years of experience.
