    From The Mead School

Mead is intentionally a Pre-K-Grade 8 school. We believe in the distinctive advantages our school offers during the critical years of a child’s social, emotional, and intellectual development. We provide a supportive environment where students feel safe taking risks and explore new activities. A few more reasons to choose our Pre-K-8 Program:

-Our faculty bring a student-centered approach to their teaching. Students are able to experience the stability of familiar surroundings and staff for consecutive years, forming a strong bond with teachers.

-Our Pre-K-8 setting provides the ideal environment to foster leadership in young adolescents. Older students serve in many mentor capacities, while younger students have someone to look up to and experiences to aspire to.

-By 8th grade, the best-fit high school is much easier for our students to determine as they know their strengths and passions, and are confident learners.

    What Makes Mead Distinct?

    academic spotlight

Creating an intentional approach to deeper learning was one of the founding visions of The Mead School. Revolutionary in 1969, this approach is more relevant than ever today. Mead provides an environment that acknowledges and supports each child for how they learn, what their passions are, and how they identify and optimize their strengths and move through challenges.
