The Appletree school was established in 1976. Wilhelmina Klaassen opened The Appletree School with a spirit "bubbling with enthusiasm" for teaching children. Along with a strong appreciation of music and fine arts, she started the Appletree School to teach the whole child - mind, body and spirit. Her enthusiasm continues to inspire the staff at The Appletree School through her influence in the Legacy of Founders Principles.
