    From The Academy at Soar

    The Academy at SOAR is an adventure-based private boarding school for youth with ADHD/LDs for grades 7–12. We offer an alternative learning environment that combines academics, adventure, and life skills development to help prepare students academically, socially, and emotionally for adulthood. We are able to conduct both campus instruction as well as experiential expedition travel for our students.

    Throughout the year students get to experience a traditional school setting mixed with two-week adventure travel trips. Students will gain independence and responsibility, learn life skills, while also getting to go on adventures of a lifetime. They will travel across the Eastern US with one international trip.

    The Academy at SOAR is accredited by Cognia and seniors will graduate with a high school diploma. We work on a rolling admissions basis and accept applications year-round.

    The Academy at SOAR has always served 7th and 8th-grade students, but our faculty has noticed a need for more separation from our older students to ensure appropriate growth and success. With the addition of our new building and dormitory space students will experience the Academy in a new environment, geared specifically towards them.
