The vision of Stewart Middle School is to build a community of lifelong learners that become responsible individuals, independent thinkers, and productive citizens. To this end, Stewart Middle School offers a wide variety of academic classes, athletics, and extra-curricular options for every student. Stewart's students are engaged in the Learning Focused Schools instructional framework where they learn the standards with common core essentials. All teachers use an essential question, an activating strategy, a teaching strategy, and a summarizer that helps students answer the essential question. This consistency in instructional focus helps to support all learners. In addition to the academic core, students at Stewart may take two revolving connections classes each nine weeks. These connections help to foster interest in subjects outside of the core curriculum. Stewart Middle School works hard to provide a quality education for all students in a safe, supportive environment.
