From St. Joseph High School
Founded in 1962, St. Joseph High School is an independent Catholic College Preparatory community that educates and motivates young women and men to live purposeful lives as ethical leaders committed to the common good of all.
With nearly 800 students from more than 36 towns across Connecticut, St. Joes is a place where your student will feel welcomed, motivated, and free to be themselves.
We are academic, engaged in the world, and college prep focused. Over and above, however, is what happens in between the classes, between the generations of teenagers and adults, among the friendships that grow in this faith-based world.
Your student, regardless of their spiritual beliefs, will be graced to spend their days in a place where faith and morals permeate the curriculum. Each student might express it differently, but all would convey the joy they find here. Pay us a visit and see it for yourself.
St Joseph High School is a member of NCEA, NAIS, and NEASC.

Taking Lessons Outdoors: Science Class on Our Wetlands Boardwalk
The Dr. Walsh Wetlands & Nature Boardwalk on campus provides our students opportunities to explore and discover nature and ecology right where it naturally exists! Students actively explore the wetland Red Maple swamp, an ecosystem rarely found on school or even college grounds. The Boardwalk is utilized in all academic areas and was even featured on WTNH’s “What’s Right With Schools?” last year!
