SMART Academy, a K to 4th-grade tuition-free school in Garfield Heights, Ohio, has a mission to provide all students with a strong literacy-based education.

SMART Academy also focuses on the holistic child. The school makes all decisions with the parents and community in mind, as these are two important elements that help foster a child’s ability to learn and develop both academically and emotionally.

That’s why SMART offers free early drop-offs (starting at 6 a.m.) and late pickups (through 6 p.m.) that include homework and tutoring assistance. In addition, the school provides a fully funded athletic program that includes soccer, track, baseball, wrestling, basketball and dance. SMART also provides a music and arts program that supports the creative and expressive qualities of students.
