Parent: From the moment we entered James River Day School for our initial admissions tour, we knew that this school was a special place. The faculty, staff, and, most especially, students were happy and engaged and very, very welcoming. The most amazing part is that not only does James River provide an enriching and nurturing environment, but it does so while providing an academically rigorous education that prepares students for high school and beyond. My children benefitted from the small class sizes that allowed their teachers to really get to know them, their personalities, and their academic strengths and challenges. This individualized attention by the faculty played a significant role in my children's academic growth and success. The faculty care deeply about each student and it shows.
