Salt Lake Arts Academy (SLArts) was designed for the important middle school years, to build confident and creative citizens of our community. In the four years students spend with us, they are engaged in rigorous learning, enriched with daily arts education. In our small school, our students develop a sense of belonging to a community where they are well known by teachers and their peers. High expectations, a connected community and arts every day Builds Creative Minds.

At SLArts, in addition to Humanities, Math and Science classes, every student takes a core Arts Class every day, choosing from Dance, Drama, Music or Visual Arts. Elective classes can include Yoga, Hip Hop, Illustration, American Sports, Photography, Urban Arts, Music Mixing and more.

Our downtown, urban campus is nestled in the developing Central Ninth neighborhood, and is accessible by bus and Trax. Each of our students receives a UTA pass that they use to explore the rich resources of our city. Come visit!
