    From Power Technical

    Power Technical (PTEC) is a pre-engineering, professional trade school that serves students grades 6-14. Power Tech offers 90 minutes of shop class each day (welding, construction, CAD, machining, HVAC, electronics, woodworking, engineering) as well as solid academics. Above solid academics and an amazing trade program, our number one goal is to develop students with a tremendous work ethic.

    Founded in 2016, PTEC is part of the Pathways in Technology program. For our students who choose this path, the state pays for two years of tuition at Pikes Peak Community College so the student can earn an Associate's Degree in a Skilled Trade.

    PTEC is a one-of-kind school. We believe it is the only trade school in the country that serves students grade 6 through an Associate's Degree. The Independence Institute chose PTEC as its public school to profile in 2020. Also, PragerU created a mini-documentary that features Dirty Jobs Mike Rowe and PTEC called "Trading Up - Our Case for Trade Schools.
