Indiana University High School Reviews

The classes are very rigorous and provide maximum flexibility for the student's schedule. Real teachers grade and provide feedback on all papers, exams, and assignments. I wish there were more taped lectures or video aspect to the classes.
Overall, I have had a wonderful experience at IU. The food is definitely a step up from the food served at my high school. Everything seems to be up to code and as fresh as possible. I do worry about the safety of the campus itself. A student died of an overdose in the dorm building beside mine. It's just a little scary. I also had severe mental health problems my first semester and had multiple care referrals put in for me, but really I wish that there was a way for me to go to therapy for free at IU. I could really use that. I don't have the money to pay for it, and I have financially absent parents.
I enrolled my 10th and 12th grader into IUHS due to Covid. They were attending a private Christian school, but the school was only offering in-person instruction for the 20-21 school year, which I felt posed a health risk.
Enrollment was very easy. Registration was also easy and straight-forward. The course selection was excellent. All of their previous courses transferred in and were reflected in the academic plan of study they received. Since my kids are tech-savvy, they had no problem adjusting to an online learning environment. The Genius and Canvas learning management systems are robust and intuitive and provide a parent login to keep tabs on your student's progress.
I love the flexibility the program provides and I have been able to eliminate the transportation logistics nightmare of their brick & mortar school. IUHS is a terrific choice. But, I am an Indiana University alum, so my opinion may be a little biased. I received my undergraduate degree from IU, partially online.
