Progressivism predominates the academic landscape in America today and finds its foundation in the sensate - if you can't detect it with your senses, you must not teach it. This instantly prohibits any conversation about morality, ethics, virtue or theology.

Classicism finds its origin in the Classical Period of the ancient Greeks and Romans and its foundation is in the ideational - before you can rightly discern what you detect with your senses you must first have a system of virtue in place.

The Christians found this system much more synchronized with their thinking and identified that system of virtue as coming from knowing God and His Word.

At GCA, introducing our students to the Savior, growing them in their understanding and practice of God's Word, and presenting all subject matter as created, sustained, and purposed by Christ is our priority.

As we are called to do all things as unto Christ, we believe that excellence is to be central to all pursuits, including academics.
