From La Porte Independent School District

La Porte ISD is a STEM-focused district with two National Blue Ribbon elementary schools. Since 2017 more than 170 La Porte High School graduates simultaneously earned an associate degree from San Jacinto College at no cost through our ACE program. We are among the very few school districts in the nation with a planetarium, which has been featured in Texas School Business 'Bragging Rights' edition. Our performing arts programs regularly are awarded UIL Sweepstakes honors, and that is because we place an emphasis on the arts as early as elementary school. Our sixth-grade students have options, including orchestra, band, choir, and our innovative piano lab. Our athletics programs are also extremely successful. Just in the past two years, we have qualified for state in cross country, golf, and diving. Many La Porte graduates are studying and playing at the university level in sports such as football, volleyball, softball, baseball, tennis, and track. Great things happen in La Porte ISD!
