Chestnut Log Middle School's primary goal is to ensure a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to succeed. Additionally, the faculty aims to meet the developmental needs of diverse learners; challenge students to develop academic, technological, and critical thinking skills for lifelong learning; engage students in rigorous work that is relevant to real world experiences; and promote respect, acceptance and appreciation for cultural differences. At Chestnut Log, teachers and staff believe in teaching and working hard to differentiate instruction for all students by using a variety of learning models, including inquiry-based learning, direct instruction, and project-based learning. CLMS believes that Character, Leadership, Motivation, and Success matter every day! Chestnut Log aims to create an environment for students to succeed in academics, athletics, and the arts.
