    From Calvert School

Nestled in Baltimore City’s Tuscany-Canterbury neighborhood, Calvert School is an independent, coed private school that serves grades K-8. Our goal is to foster innovative thinkers and lifelong learners who excel academically – and at Calvert, those lessons start early.

Across all grade levels, our curriculum combines traditional teaching methods with innovative new ideas to help students master fundamental skills, develop a strong moral character, and discover a love of learning. As a coed elementary and middle school, we also recognize that our students are constantly growing and developing, and we are proudly committed to meeting each child’s social and academic needs.

Whether they are on the football field, in the classroom, or performing on stage, Calvert School students feel safe and supported as they tackle new challenges and broaden their horizons.

At Calvert, we are committed to guiding our students through the emotional and cognitive changes that come with growing up. Our coed K-8 program tackles these challenges by providing clubs, athletics, and leadership programs that empower boys and girls to learn together to improve their community. As Calvert’s oldest students, Middle Schoolers become leaders and role models among their peers.
