Rating 4.55 out of 5 38 reviews
The faculty at the University of Hartford has been incredibly helpful in my academic success. After my first year, I had a family crisis that took my focus away from my academics. My father had a stroke, and my mother and younger brother both had to undergo surgical procedures- all within a few months. The stress of having to step up and care for three family members took a toll on my performance. I was met with understanding, patience, and care from my professors and advisors. I was allowed to take the time I needed to help my family and, when we were back up and running, I was welcomed back into the program with support and open arms.
For the most part, I have had a positive college experience. I started college during COVID and it was a huge struggle, but through a lot of perseverance, I am aiming to graduate this may with honors. I have completed a 30-page literature synthesis for the psychology honors program, and have maintained a 3.4 GPA throughout my college career. Professors and advisors have guided me in the right direction to help me succeed, and I have been able to build close relationships to help me get through undergrad.
Prosthetics and Orthotics. High valued and respected. Our staff and faculty cares about us so much. If I could do it all again I would, because of the support they give.
