    The American University School of Communication empowers graduates to tell stories that influence change, inspire action, and transform our communities and the world. Our graduate programs build our students’ competence and knowledge as a multi-platform communicator as well as enhance in-demand skills critical to professional success in the communication field.

    The School combines rigorous academic studies while also hosting and partnering with centers that leverage the experience of our faculty to give students unique opportunities. The Center for Environmental Filmmaking, Investigative Reporting Workshop and AU Game Lab are just a few centers here at SOC that push the boundaries of communications, letting students to hone their approaches while striving to make a positive social impact.
