UCF is near the heart of Central Florida, providing access to most of Orlando. The proximity to many jobs and recreational activities can be fun! The university has many clubs and activities to participate in, and a lively campus often bustling with festivities. One thing I would like to see change at UCF is their inability and/or unwillingness to offer classes sometimes due to low sign-up numbers. My graduation date has been delayed multiple times due to that phenomenon. Furthermore, with over 60,000 students, attending UCF can feel incredibly impersonal.
I absolutely loved my experience at UCF! The warm weather and beautiful surroundings made it an ideal place for me to learn and grow. Most of my classes were engaging and taught by talented teachers who genuinely cared about the success of their students. One thing I did want, though, was a better opportunity for new students to make friends. Although there were clubs and organizations, it would be interesting to see inclusive events and social events specifically designed to foster relationships among incoming students. However, my overall impression of UCF remains overwhelmingly positive, and I am grateful for the memories and knowledge I gained during my visit.
I am an early admittance student slated to begin my journey as a college freshman during my senior year of high school at UCF starting in August of 2023. My experience has been incredibly positive so far beginning with my initial tour of the campus, through the application and acceptance process and lastly checking off my "to do" checklist in order to be ready for orientation. Every campus employee that I have encountered has been welcoming, encouraging and informative which has alleviated much of the pressure of being a first time college student! I highly recommend this institution of higher education!
