What is a sales major?
Sales and marketing students concentrate on the general process and techniques of direct wholesale and retail buying and selling operations and introduces individuals to related careers. Curriculum topics include the principles of entrepreneurial economics, basic sales skills, the distribution channels for goods and services, and supervised practical application experiences.

How popular is sales as a major?
Each year, around 590 students obtain a bachelor’s degree and around 180 students obtain an associate degree in sales. In 2021, 712 students received a bachelor's degree and 64 students received an associate degree. This is 17% more sales majors than there were in 2020. Sales is a relatively uncommon major within business and management.
