Engineering science curriculums rely on the general application of various combinations of mathematical and scientific principles to the analysis and evaluation of engineering problems, including applied research in human behavior, statistics, biology, chemistry, the earth and planetary sciences, atmospherics and meteorology, and computer applications.

How popular is engineering science as a major?

Each year, around 570 students obtain a bachelor’s degree and around 450 students obtain an associate degree in engineering science. In 2021, 549 students received a bachelor's degree and 454 students received an associate degree. This is 11% fewer engineering science majors than there were in 2020. Engineering science is a relatively popular major compared to other engineering majors.
