The university's demanding curriculum and abundance of chances for both personal and professional development demonstrate its dedication to promoting leadership, integrity, and service. I'm honored to be an Aggie in a community that embraces inclusivity, innovation, and heritage. Texas A&M never stops changing the world, whether it be via innovative research, competitive sports, or community service programs. My time at Texas A&M has not only equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed for success but has also instilled in me a sense of pride and belonging that will last a lifetime. Gig 'em!
Texas A&M offers just about everything a college student could look for, unless they want to be a fine arts major. I would like to see more music majors and minors available. The engineering acceptance and registration process for freshman is extremely stressful and unhelpful. The way it’s designed makes it impossible to “figure out,” even with help. It’s luck-of-the-draw most of the time. With the school being so big, there are lots of good and lots of bad things (professors, food, housing, groups). You have to know someone who has figured out how to do well and ask them what professors to take, what places to study, etc. The school offers several resources, but some of them are confusing. If anything, it makes the relationships better because you have to talk to people to figure everything out. The atmosphere, especially around game days in the fall, is amazing, and the traditions do make it feel like more than just a school. It is possible to do very well if you know where to look!
It is a family community, supportive, lively, and beautiful place to take in. Being in a college town, all you see around you are students helping clean cars, students shopping, students at restaurants with their friends, students studying all around campus from morning to late evening, and so much more. In my opinion, this just gives me more enthusiasm to study, but the atmosphere is not just studying, studying, studying. Campus life is great and activities are hosted by the universities student life, health-center, academics, different organizations, and more! Overall, being at Texas A&M University is a joy.
