2025 Best Colleges in the Houston Area

Junior: TAMUG is a wonderful, supportive place! It has a lot of clubs, and you'd be surprised at how many people come from different backgrounds and places all over Texas! It is a small campus, but specialized towards marine sciences and engineering students who are looking to transfer to the main campus in College Station. If you're worried about school spirit and love sports, they have that here too! We have intramural leagues for a bunch of sports, and we have midnight yell here as well! The dorms are okay, I live in albatross and it definitely the dingiest place I've ever lived, but it's not terrible! It has its own kitchenette which is nice, none of the other dorms have that either. You also get to room with one other person compared to the other dorms where you're sharing with three other people. All in all, it's a nice campus if you want small classes and it's easy to walk! It is on a small island connected to the main island, though, so the Strand isn't that far! Lots of cute shops!... Read 433 reviews
