75 years ago, Roosevelt University was born when a visionary leader and 62 faculty members had the guts to go against the norms of exclusion in favor of inclusion. They went against the discriminatory practices of higher education in 1945. When asked to limit access because of race, religion and gender, they simply said, “We don’t count that way.”

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The BSN program at RU trains students in the skills required for nursing and develops students’ abilities to think critically, analyze complex situations, make sound clinical decisions and deliver safe nursing care. The BSN is a three-year direct entry bachelor's program designed to teach students the required skills and knowledge to become Registered Nurses [RNs] and is accredited by the CCNE.
