Terry Campus offers a central location in Delaware with surrounding amenities to make time on campus a little easier. They offer a wide variety of classes that are in person, online and hybrid to fit schedules. I like how small classes are. This gives the professors the ability to get to know you on a first name basis. They are able to help each individual student when necessary and want to see everyone succeed. They offer office hours where students can come in to ask questions on content, assignments and exams. They also offer meeting times outside of office hours to ensure that every student can get the help that they need. The Terry campus is currently undergoing renovations so amenities are limited but within a short time, those amenities will be open and should bring an updated area for continued learning .
In high school I took one college course fully online through DelTech. So going into my freshman year I knew almost everything. Where my class work was, how to get in contact with my professors, etc. I was scared about meeting new people and not getting the “college experience.” DelTech had many opportunities for me to meet new people. I have made three new friends which I am very grateful for. The professors I have had so far are amazing and they truly are down to earth. I have yet to experience anything negative here at DelTech and I am extremely grateful I decided to come here.
After deciding Delaware Tech. Community College is my ideal fit, I moved shortly after my high school graduation. I'm the first in my family to attend college, therefor I tend to generate a lot of questions. The staff in all departments have been very understanding of this. From providing information, giving great advice, or directing me across campus. Students are part of the staff as well. Which I think is a great way to create a welcoming atmosphere where you feel excited, and confident in taking your next step. I'll be starting classes soon and can't wait to get the full experience as a student. The small class sizes, online courses, friendly community and the resources available. This is everything I need in a school to help me develop my future career.
